PRP

 

PRP (Platelet rich plasma), formerly known as the "Vampire Facial". It is widely used for facial treatment that leaves skin looking refreshed and rejuvenated, your skin will become firmer, more supple and smooth, with a healthy, youthful glow. 

PRP is also effective for hair restoration hair growth and increases thickness of hair follicle.

PRP has a high concentration of platelets. which allows for the formation and release of growth factors and active proteins that promote healing and cell renewal. 

 

Platelets are key actors of tissue repair mechanisms. They provide essential growth factors.

 

Plasma contains proteins that are essential for cell growth which is needed for tissue restoration ,is responsible for new skin growth ,hair restoration, production of collagen and elastin.

Recovery time;

Minimal downtime may have redness for 2-3 days with slight pin point bruising where skin was injected, some may experience pin point bruising for 4-5 days.

Minimal with numbing cream

Important Pre Treatment Instructions

 

Avoid NSAIDS such as ,Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Advil, Celebrex, Naproxen and Voltaren .Avoid herbal supplements such as St. John's Wort, oral Vitamin E, gingko biloba, garlic and fish oils. Avoid green tea and alcohol 48 hours prior to your treatment as these may promote the risk of bruising and bleeding in the injection area.

 

If you are currently taking anti-coagulation medications such as Warfarin, Coumadin, Heparin, Clopidogrel, Plavix, discuss the use of these medications with your healthcare provider prior to your treatment. You may or may not be a candidate for treatment as you need to stop these medications 7 days  before PRP.

 

If you are prone to cold sores (oral herpes simplex), take your prescribed medication such as Valtrex, Valacyclovir, or Acyclovir ,as prescribed in the 24 hours prior to your treatment.

1 hour before your treatment ,please drink 2 glasses of water.

Accutane (must wait 5- 12 months)

 

Post Treatment Instructions

DO NOT: wash your skin for 8 hours post treatment

DO Not expose the treated area/s to direct high heat, or engage in activities that will cause you to sweat (e.g. blow dryer, sun exposure, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, very hot shower or bath for 48 hours.
